It is designed for first-time hunters, people exploring hunting, and anyone who needs hunter education certification to meet licensing requirements. Age and follow-up requirements can vary by jurisdiction.

Yes. The full certification course is $20. IHEA-USA retains 15% of proceeds, while the remainder supports state wildlife agency education accounts.

In some states, youth hunter-ed students are offered a non-certifying ‘self-study’ course option, free of charge

Yes. After you successfully complete the course requirements, you receive a certificate immediately. Always confirm any additional field-day or jurisdiction-specific requirements with the wildlife agency where you plan to purchase a license.

The experience is designed for online learning and can be accessed on common connected devices, allowing you to progress at your own pace.

Graduates receive a direct connection to PathPerks. Adults age 18 and older can also join LearnHunting.org, and everyone can continue learning through IHEA-USA’s Hunters Connect video library.
